Annoying discomfort in one of my molars during a recent Friday was pain by Sunday. Big problem: my home and dentist are in Michigan. I'm living temporarily in Agawam on a job assignment. I fortunately found this website and reviews for several dentists, including Dr. Zive (Court St. Family Dentistry). First thing Monday I phoned Dr. Zive's office because one review indicated he would come to his office for emergencies outside of office hours and that he personally answered or returned patient calls. I got his answering service, however, and nearly hung up when I learned he was on holiday that week. Despite my protest that I didn't want to disturb his vacation, the service said he would call me within the hour, which he did. He listened to my problem and told me without hesitation to meet him at his office in Westfield. When I got there I was second in line to a little girl who'd chipped her tooth over the weekend. The bottom line: Dr. Zive effectively treated my problem that morning (severe gum infection) and I was back to normal before the end of the week. The following Monday I was in his office again for a complete exam and followup treatment. I have gingivitis and missed a treatment by my Michigan dentist due to my extended travel. Dr. Zive and his excellent hygienist came to the rescue heroically in my view, with compassion, a sense of urgency and thorough professionalism. Dr.'s equipment and his techniques are the latest, and the dental-chair-side manner of he and his staff are as warm and friendly and competent as you will ever find. I have an excellent dentist in Michigan of similar caliber against whom I'm measuring my impression of Dr. Zive and his staff. I recommend Court Street Family Dentistry to anyone in-a-throbbing-toothache (or heartbeat).

Finding a good dentist these days can be a difficult task. Eureka, I've finally found the best. Dr. Zive is caring, gentle, efficient and painless. He focuses on quality rather than quantity, unlike my many previous dentists. I was amazed at how simple and comfortable the root canal was and the single visit crown was incredible to watch and fit perfectly. This office is highly recommended.

On Saturday July 19th, while away on vacation with my family, I developed a tooth ache that by Sunday night turned into excruciating and near debilitating pain - nothing like I had ever experienced in my life. At 4 AM Monday I made the decision to drive back to Westfield from the Connecticut shore and at 6:35 AM I called the emergency number for Court Street Family Dentistry. Much to my surprise and relief Dr. Marc Zive answered the phone himself and as I briefed him on my situation he replied, "meet me at the office at 8:30". Upon my arrival, the staff of CSFDLLC immediately prepared me for the doctor's initial examination of my problem, followed by X-rays of the area and preparation for an emergency root canal procedure. By 9:45 the procedure [my first] was successfully completed and the pain was actually subsiding. As requested by Dr. Zive I returned to his office on Wednesday morning for a few finishing touches and I am pleased to say all is well. I can't begin to express my sincerely appreciation to Dr. Zive and his caring staff for re-arraigning their Monday morning to deal with my emergency. There is NO question Court Street Family Dentistry is my family's one and only choice when it comes to our dental work.

The thing I love most about your staff is how friendly they are. I'm unsure of the name of the lady that performed my cleaning, but she is a riot! The staff was very friendly. Being a new patient, I was made to feel like they had known me for years. I couldn't believe you have a doctor that actually answers the phone.
